At
the upper end of the lake meadow we have built a covered
pavilion.
The basic pavilion is 25' x 60' but can be extended on one
end to provide up to 2,000 square feet of covered space,
enough to accommodate 200 attendees. In addition, the walls
of the pavilion can be enclosed to create an indoor venue if
desired and space heaters are available if cool weather is
anticipated. There is also an 8 foot x 16 foot movable stage
that can be used for wedding rituals or as a band or DJ
stand. A video projector and screen are also available.
There is ample parking in close proximity to the pavilion.
The views from the pavilion take in the lake, the fountain
and the wedding island. After the reception the guests can
enjoy themselves with boating on the lake, horseshoes,
badminton, volleyball, disc golf and other field games.
There is also a campfire ring for later at night. We ask
that the event winds down by 11:30 pm.
Arrangements can be also made for additional games and
attractions that are listed on our reunions page.
Pricing for the reception varies according to the number of
attendees. Arrangements can be made for rehearsal dinners as
well.

| Reception Package Rates |
The
basic reception package includes the use of the
pavilion, 60" round tables (seating 8) and chairs,
Four 8’ x 30” banquet/serving tables, adjustable
overhead lighting including chandeliers, a PA
system, a barbeque grill and a barbeque pit,
electric and water supply, garbage cans, and use of
the game meadow, boats, campfire ring and three
additional pop-up tents that can be used for special
purposes such as catering. There are three cottages
nearby the pavilion that have toilet facilities,
also local health code requires that we supply
additional restroom facilities. Our regular fee
includes the installation of men's and women's
portable johns under a tent with a waiting area and
a hand wash stand with running water and a mirror,
or for an additional fee, we can supply a full
restroom facilities with 2 flush toilets, a vanity
and powder room for the ladies and a toilet and
vanity for the men.
Chair Covers: White Satin chair covers are available
for $2.50 each including installation, White or gold
sashes are $1.00 each. Other color covers and sashes
are available but at a slightly higher price.
“Floating Cloud” wedding cake table: This is a
special table in which the cake floats on a sheet of
glass beneath which is an illuminated cloud of white
chiffon. There is a picture of this table in the
last row of photographs. There is no charge for
this.
Rehearsal dinner option: If the resort is already
rented for having a reception, a wedding party may
also want to have a rehearsal dinner in the
pavilion. If the rehearsal dinner party is 60
participants or less, the fee for having it in the
pavilion is $200. This fee covers tables, chairs,
use of the food prep area, the gas grill and toilet
facilities. The participants will be expected to set
up their own tables and chairs.
Digital Projector: A 3,000 watt digital projector is
available for showing digital slide shows and videos
or movies. This can be rented on a per night basis
of $75.00.
Food prep area: There is a 300 sq. ft. covered food
prep area behind the end wall of the pavilion. It
includes a stainless steel commercial double sink,
prep tables, a Jenn Air gas grill with 500 sq” of
grill and one cooking burner and a small fridge. Use
of the grill is a $25 fee.
Patio heaters: Propane space heaters are available
for early May and late October events, they rent for
$75 each.
The following prices vary according to the size of
the party and are subject to an 12% local tax.

Event Deposit. A $500 deposit is
required to reserve an event date. The deposit is
refundable within 30 days of the date of receipt.
Here is
some additional information on services that you may require if you plan to have an event at Rainbow Lake
Resort:
Most of our caterers can supply a buffet style meal
or a-la-carte
service with wait staff. The wait staff fee is
around $75 per
waiter including gratuities, usually one waiter is
required per
every 25 attendees. Buffet meals such as a pasta
buffet or a
barbeque buffet start around $11.00 per person up to
$14 per if
ribs are included. This includes disposable utensils
and plates and
basic beverages. Other entrees such as blackened
chicken ($15 per),
Beef Stroganoff ($16 per) fresh brook trout ($19
per) vary, but
this will give you an idea what basic costs are.
Wedding cake
usually starts out at $4.00 per person. Appetizers
cost from $4 to
$8 per person depending.
An additional 4 dollars per person will cover for
china, glass and
silverware if desired. See STJ (below) for linen,
silverware and serving
dishes prices. Note china, linens and silverware do
not have to be
returned cleaned. We have had experience with most
