Blue Ridge Mountain Accommodations


 

At the upper end of the lake meadow we have a 25’ by 80’ covered pavilion where the reception may take place (to be built in the spring of 2008). At the far end of the pavilion is a nave with a raised platform that can be used for celebration rituals such as cake cutting, the garter ceremony and champagne toasts. There is ample parking in close proximity to the pavilion. The views from the pavilion take in the lake, the fountain and the wedding island. After the reception the guests can enjoy themselves with boating on the lake, horseshoes, badminton, volleyball, disc golf and other field games. There is also a campfire ring for later at night.

Arrangements can be also made for additional games and attractions that are listed on our reunions page.

Pricing for the reception varies according to the number of attendees. Arrangements can be made for rehearsal dinners as well. THERE IS A 10% DISCOUNT on all prices if the wedding guests occupy 80% of our cottages. There are many advantages to this, since all need for driving vehicles is eliminated.

Reception Package Rates
The reception basic package includes the 25’ x 80’ pavilion and gazebo, 60” round tables, chairs, 4 banquet tables, a PA system, a large barbeque and a very large barbeque pit electric power and water supply, garbage cans, men's and women's porta-johns each with a wash sink, and use of the game meadow, fire ring and boats and four additional 10’ x 10’ pop-up tents that can be used for special purposes.

These prices includes set up of the tables and chairs and they vary according to the number of guests, there is an additional 11% local tax.

Additional Options include: our photographer, catering service, a band or DJ music, Karaoke, table linens, plates, glasses, silverware and serving dishes, a skirted bar, catering, beverages, favors, a wedding cake, candelabras, punch fountains, attending and serving staff and carnival games as mentioned above. We can help you arrange for all these options.

We highly suggest that a wedding organizer is hired to coordinate your event, do not leave it to a well-meaning friend or relative, it is best to leave the organizing to an objective well experienced professional. We can suggest one for you, if you would like.
